Youth group

The Youth Group of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish is a group of young people interested in growing in their faith and love of Jesus Christ while having fun. We welcome students in grades 6 through 12. Post high school students interested in helping with youth ministry are always welcome!

During the school year, the Youth Group meets at least once a month for prayer, music and fun downstairs in Marian Hall. Periodically, we have fun events such as sledding at the Johnson's and field trips to places like the Great American Corn Maze in Danville, VT. During Lent we spent 6 weeks doing a bible study with Life Teen's Mark Hart (what a great way to learn more about the bible!).

Retreats are a great way to get away and get closer to Christ, and there are a few opportunities during the year to do this. For Confirmation candidates, we have a SEARCH retreat in the fall and a Confirmation retreat in the spring with Saint Anthony's Parish. Our Middle School students have attended the Middle School Youth Rally and we've also offered a Lenten retreat for Middle School students as well. We have also sponsored large retreats, including Mount 2000 – a high school retreat at Mount Saint Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland in February – and the VT Catholic Youth Conference in Burlington VT in July. If retreats interest you, we have plenty of opportunities for you!

Youth Group Leadership

We invite all Post-Confirmation students to join the leadership of Youth Group - a great way to continue on your faith journey while being a witness and role model to younger students.
